conquer and shine Scholarship
The Garner C. Tampary Memorial Foundation would like to sponsor the Conquer and Shine Scholarship for four seniors of the class of 2024. Garner’s middle name is Constantine, which means to conquer, and Sonny’s name means to shine. The students will write an essay explaining how they conquered and shined through adversity in their lives. The scholarship is available to students from Gulf Shores and Orange Beach High Schools that are planning on attending a community college or trade school and have between a 2.75-3.50 GPA. A recipient will be chosen from each school, and they will receive a $1,500 scholarship.
Lessonz Scholarship
The other Scholarship that we would like to sponsor is the Lessonz Scholarship. The mission of the Garner C. Tampary Memorial Foundation is to advocate for seatbelt safety and to help prevent distracted driving. The students will create a short video (45 second minimum) promoting seatbelt safety and/or preventing distracted driving. The recipient's video will be used on our web page and social media to help promote our cause. The scholarship is available to students from Gulf Shores and Orange Beach High Schools that are planning on attending a community college or trade school and have between a 2.75-3.50 GPA. A recipient will be chosen from each school, and they will receive a $1,500 scholarship.
